Storyware

A long-term creative partnership shaping digital experiences.

Creative Direction, UX Strategy & Design Operations

My relationship with Storyware began in 2009 as an independent creative partner. In 2021, I joined the fully remote team as Design Director, leading UX and design across digital projects in collaboration with strategists, developers, clients, and external creative partners.

My work spanned information architecture, design direction, brand identity, and process improvement, with a focus on translating complex requirements into clearer digital experiences.

Leading the Work from Strategy to Design

My approach combined hands-on design expertise with creative direction, structured problem-solving, and process improvement. I helped teams move from strategy and complex requirements to clear design decisions, while mentoring emerging designers and collaborating across disciplines.

Improving the Content-to-Design Process

Clients struggled to visualize content structure in lengthy planning documents, leading to questions that surfaced during wireframing. I introduced Quickframes, a Figma toolkit combining sitemaps, user flows, content blocks, and page structures in one visual workspace.

My role: Developed the toolkit, directed UX and wireframe development, and mentored a design intern who helped refine the toolkit and wireframes under my direction.

Making Complex Information Easier to Navigate

The Foundation's website served diverse audiences across patients, researchers, clinicians, and donors, with a substantial volume of complex medical and research content. I led the UX and design process, translating complex requirements into a clearer information architecture, intuitive pathways to treatment centers, and a more navigable resource library.

My role: Led end-to-end UX strategy and design, including information architecture, Figma design, accessibility, and stakeholder presentations.

Translating Brand Strategy into a Physical Experience

Working with Storyware's in-house brand strategist, I translated the development's strategic direction into a visual identity and coordinated materials for its groundbreaking ceremony. I designed the logo and brand guidelines, created custom-illustrated posters and event collateral, and assembled a custom press kit.

My role: Identity design, art direction, illustration, and production coordination from vendor research through delivery.

Selected Projects

My work with Storyware spanned UX strategy, digital design, information architecture, and brand collaboration across industries.

Across brand and digital projects, my focus has remained the same: bringing clarity to complexity, connecting strategy to design, and helping teams create more cohesive experiences.
